Traffic Supervisions Systems (TSS) is a technology of Computer Products Professional Benelux bv. TSS started as a Danish R&D company developing and manufacturing new IT products for the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and logistics markets. Since the establishment in 1995, TSS have dedicated all their efforts in the development of the very cost-effective low frequency RFID batteryless transponder technology for exploitation in ITS systems ‚ both for road and rail applications.
R&D are one of the most important activities, and TSS has been the leading partner in several development projects. During the years 1996-1999, TSS originated and carried out a large EU funded project TRACAR where a system for remote supervision of frozen/refrigerated goods during transport from Denmark to Italy and Portugal was demonstrated. In 1997/1998 TSS delivered the automatic data capture technology for the Berlin Senate funded project BERTRAM.
From 1997 to 1999 TSS managed and delivered technology to a EUREKA project called TRAPRIO funded partly by the Danish Ministry of Commerce. Here the TSS technology was demonstrated for use in traffic light priority systems for buses and emergency vehicles. In 1999 TSS initiated a third project, TRAPOLO. The objective is to further develop the TSS technology for applications at electrified railway lines.
These projects have made it possible for TSS to attain a unique position. The results achieved are breaking news for the ITS market ‚ TSS has created a new state-of-the art technology for most modes of transportation.
